Privacy Policy

The short version
The QR code generator on this site runs entirely in your browser. When you type a link, Wi‑Fi password, contact card, or message into the form, that text is turned into a QR code on your own device using JavaScript — it is never transmitted to keepqode's servers, because for the static code types on this page, there is no server-side processing involved at all.
What we don't collect
We do not collect, log, or store the content you enter to generate a QR code (URLs, Wi‑Fi credentials, contact details, messages, or any other field). We do not require an account, email address, or any personal information to use the generator.
What may be collected
Like most websites, keepqode.com's hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information for security and reliability purposes — such as IP address, browser type, and page requested — in standard server access logs. This site may also use privacy-respecting analytics and, in the future, advertising services (such as Google AdSense) to help support free hosting. These services may use cookies or similar technologies and may collect information as described in their own privacy policies. If you have opted for reduced ad personalization in your browser or device settings, that preference is respected wherever the ad provider supports it.
Cookies
This site does not set its own cookies for the QR generation feature. Any cookies present would come from third-party services described above, if and when they are enabled.
Dynamic QR codes (upcoming feature)
keepqode plans to offer optional dynamic QR codes — codes that redirect to a destination you can update later, with basic scan-count tracking. Unlike the static generator above, this feature will necessarily involve a server component, since it needs to look up your chosen destination each time the code is scanned. When this feature launches, this policy will be updated to describe exactly what is stored (the destination URL and aggregate scan counts) and what is not (no personal information about the people scanning your code).
Third-party links
QR codes you generate may encode links to other websites. keepqode has no control over and is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any third-party site your generated codes point to.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, when the dynamic QR feature launches — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
